REMBRANDT - IN BLACK & WHITE
2016, BOZAR, Brussels - Belgium
Scenography & Production Management for BOZAR
The exhibition is designed to house up to 90 original Rembrandt etchings within a small room.
A central volume plays a fundamental role within the exhibition space as it defines the way in which the viewer moves through the works. Its shape arranges the collection into time segments and allows for an efficient use of the walls plus the integration of a large display. Parallel to the central volume two triangular elements serve as a bench and table display.
The petroleum green paint provides a type of contrast to the works with the aim to create a minimalistic viewing experience. Colour and light contribute to a comfortable "living room atmosphere" perception of the exhibition structure.
